The Citizens Scrumpty ….

After 2 weeks of public voting, both online and in person, a Kingsholm CofE Primary School student, has won the opportunity to have their design of Scrumpty created in real size.

10 year old Jessica Moss created a Gloucester Rugby inspired Scrumpty which will now be reproduced by a professional artist on a full scale 5ft Scrumpty, and displayed in the City along with the 19 other Scrumpty’s in a display of colour celebrating Gloucester being a host city for the Rugby World Cup 2015.

The miniature Scrumpty created by Jessica, along with all of the other Scrumptys created by 25 schools locally are available to see at Gloucester Cathedral. Scrumpty Trail would like to thank The Citizen for making this great competition for the schools happen.

Scrumpty loves his Gloucester Rugby look and says “Well done Jessica …. its a crack-ing design”

School's Scrumpty's - Scrumpty Sculpture Trail

Children across Gloucester embraced the rugby fever and let their creativity run wild by taking part in a Citizen competition.

Schools were given the chance to get their designs on our Scrumpy mascot – one of dozens of fibreglass sculptures which will form a trail around the city for the Rugby World Cup.
